I had walked over from the lab and so I asked what type of harm was she threatening? She said she would stab me with my own needles. The officer outside her room asked if I wanted him to walk in with me so in the event that she should get violent, he would be there to hopefully contain the situation. I nod my head to agree that he go in.

She doesn’t say anything, but i sure got a look that was meant to be intimidating, I continue on with setting up what I need to draw her blood, as I’m doing this I explain to her that I have been told she would harm me if I tried to “stick” her. I firmly but calmly told her that if she did that she would not be seen, she would not get any treatment, and could possibly go to jail for assaulting healthcare professional. I explained that I would tell her everything i was doing as I went along and that she would know every step of the way what to expect. I told her she could ask any questions she may have and I would answer them to the best of my ability. I also threw in that I had 10 years of experience and I was confident in my ability to get the needed blood work with a minimal amount of pain.
