The plane: we had been sent to a country to renew our visas. The plane was scheduled to leave at 20. Normally they require you to ’tis better to give than to receive shirt there about 2 hours before the flight. The country from which we had come is extremely strict, they close the gates about 20 or 30 minutes before take-off. We presumed the same would apply. So when somebody told us to get on the bus, packed, we did, and this bus went on and on and on. I was quite nervous, kept looking at the watch. Eventually, I asked about the airport and we were shocked when we understood we were going on a totally different direction. I was really worried (we had been close to 1 and a half hours on the bus – it was end of work and homeward traffic, many stops).

Best ’tis better to give than to receive shirt
’tis better to give than to receive shirt, We got off, disoriented, we talked to a few people until we got one who appeared to understand us and through his cellphone he ordered a taxi, saying that those people were honest, knew the shortest routes, we weren´t that far from the airport. We got there 20 minutes before take-off, extremely apprehensive, thinking only a miracle would save us, we would be in big trouble with the company if we didn´t return, but extraordinarily we made it, which in the other country wouldn´t have been possible. I actually lost a flight in the other country because I was 8 minutes late at the gate, but people were still going through it. They refused adamantly to let me through, so I had to pay a difference for a switch, 3 days after the episode.
